The Laurel Park Garden Committee is a sub-committee of the LPE PTA. Our focus is to create outdoor learning opportunities for the students of Laurel Park Elementary School in Apex, NC. Currently, we are creating a sustainable, raised bed garden on school grounds. The students will be partially responsible for the choice of plants and care of the garden. Our hope is that this garden will act as an invaluable outdoor classroom, available to any teacher at LPES. By showing the "Farm to Table" connection of food production, we hope to instill healthy habits in all the LPE Penguins.
